Backyard Jungle is designed to be challenging, rewarding, fun and safe for kids. It is a powerful web system to enable users, individually and collectively, to explore the outdoors around them and around the USA. It is fun, and as much as it draws users to their computers, it also sends them away to investigate the things that live in the natural environment around them. In doing so it is educational and challenging, and it is building an amazing and powerful set of data from people's neighborhoods around the country. April UpdateSpring has finally sprung and Earth Day is on the way! Backyard Jungle would like to welcome those two important events with our own Worm Safari challenge. Worm Safari encourages kids to explore the amazing life of earth worms and provides educational information about how they contribute to the wellbeing of our soils. Fun, fun, fun! Email UpdatesWe send periodic email updates to our adult audience (parents, teachers, press, others) about how the website is working for kids, and new features we add.
